# Reporting overview

The **Reporting** page in **SiteHive Enviro** is where you explore your data, graph it and download reports. Five tools live there: interactive graphs, stats and analysis with data tables, PDF reports, CSV exports and, with **SiteHive Enviro Pro**, advanced reporting. This page says which one to reach for, and when.

### Which reporting tool do I need?

Start from what you want to end up with: a picture to look at, a number to quote, a document to send, or a spreadsheet to work in.

#### Graphs

Use them when you want to see what happened: a spike, a trend, or a comparison between two [Monitoring Points](https://support.sitehive.com/en-au/what-is-a-monitoring-point?hsLang=en-au) or two weeks.

Pick an aspect and a date range, then graph by parameter, Monitoring Point or device, with your thresholds drawn on the chart. Steps: [Graph your data](https://support.sitehive.com/en-au/graph-your-data?hsLang=en-au).

#### Stats and analysis

Use it when you want the numbers: daily averages, exceedance counts and summaries for a period, in tables you can read on screen or download.

Each section pairs its statistics with a data table aggregated by the period you choose, with a Download CSV button beside it. Aggregation finer than 24 hours (1-minute, 15-minute, hourly and 3-hour periods) is part of SiteHive Enviro Pro. Steps: [Stats and analysis](https://support.sitehive.com/en-au/stats-and-analysis?hsLang=en-au).

#### PDF reports

Use them when you need a document to send: a weekly, monthly or quarterly report for the project, or a one-page point-in-time report in answer to a noise complaint.

Periodic reports cover any number of devices and locations over a week to six months. Daily notes can be included, so the explanation travels with the numbers. Steps: [Create a PDF report](https://support.sitehive.com/en-au/create-a-pdf-report?hsLang=en-au).

#### CSV exports

Use them when you want the raw data in a spreadsheet: for your own analysis, for a consultant, or to fill a client's template.

Choose the aspects and the date range, filter by Monitoring Point or by device, and add weather data if you want it alongside. Steps: [Export a CSV report](https://support.sitehive.com/en-au/export-a-csv-report?hsLang=en-au).

#### Advanced reporting (SiteHive Enviro Pro)

Use it when the standard PDF is not enough: weather on the report, out-of-hours periods marked on the graphs, a full events list, device statistics, or a report on an attended monitoring session.

Steps: [Advanced reporting](https://support.sitehive.com/en-au/advanced-reporting?hsLang=en-au).

> ℹ️ Some capabilities are part of **SiteHive Enviro Pro**: aggregation periods finer than 24 hours in Stats and analysis, Advanced reporting, and [Events: investigate an exceedance](https://support.sitehive.com/en-au/events-investigate-an-exceedance?hsLang=en-au). The full list is in [What is included in SiteHive Enviro Pro](https://support.sitehive.com/en-au/what-is-included-in-sitehive-enviro-pro?hsLang=en-au).

### Before you report

Two habits make every report better. Write [Daily notes](https://support.sitehive.com/en-au/daily-notes?hsLang=en-au) as the project runs, so the causes are recorded next to the numbers. And if a period holds data you know is wrong (a knocked device, a test run), use [Omit data from a report](https://support.sitehive.com/en-au/omit-data-from-a-report?hsLang=en-au) first, so graphs and statistics leave it out (SiteHive Enviro Pro).
